Forest, MS Library
The Forest Public Library is dedicated to serving the public; whether
for a school report, general interest in a subject or the simple pleasure
of reading.
In addition to books, audio and video tapes, magazines and newspapers,
the Library also offers these services:
Photocopying, Fax, Internet Access, Public Access Computers, InterLibrary Loan,
Meeting Rooms, Story time and additional programs for adults and children.
When applying for a free Library Card one must bring identification
with a current address. (If your identification does not include
your current address, one should bring a utility bill that
has been received at your curent address). A Library Card allows
one to take advantage of all 21 libraries in our four county
system.
Books and audio tapes are checked out for 3 weeks, with the
exception of best sellers or books in high demand. These are
checked out for 1 week. Fines for overdue books and audio tapes
are $0.10 per day for children and $0.15 for adults per book.
Videos are checked out for 2 days at no charge. Fines for overdue
videos are $1.00 per day per tape.
Books and tapes may be renewed by telephone to avoid fines. All materials
not on the Reserve List may be renewed. The Library may be contacted by calling 469-1481 during
regular hours or by calling 825-5450 any time for our automated
service. (A bar code and pin number are necessary to access an account.) You may also access our catalog on-line at http://www.cmrls.lib.ms.us and click on Rosie's Web to reserve or request a book from your
